Profa. Dra. Monica Grin (UFRJ)

Associate Professor – Department of History and Graduate Studies in Social History at UFRJ.  Master in Political Science (Political Science and Sociology) at IUPERJ (1992); Master in History at Brown University (1995) and Ph.D. in Political Science (Political Science and Sociology ) at IUPERJ (2001). Coordinates the Interdisciplinary Center for Jewish Studies at UFRJ (NIEJ). Major fields in History and Social Sciences:  post-abolition in Brazil and racial studies, working mainly in the following themes: race relations, post emancipation, multiculturalism, ethnicity, racial inequality, racism, anti-Semitism, post-colonialism, immigration and Jewish studies.
