LIEJ

The meetings of the Interdisciplinary Center for Jewish Studies, coordinated by Prof. Monica Grin is a space for students in the areas of humanities from UFRJ and from the other universities, whose main objective is to ensure a space for lectures, debates, discussion of texts, preparation of monographs, theses and dissertations. It is an area in which the student may be updated in several topics in the area of Jewish studies, with special emphasis on historiography and in research of primary sources in Brazil and abroad.

The NIEJ meetings occur on Tuesdays, from 15:00 to 18:00, room 423 or 427, at IFCS building. The presence of regular speakers, teachers and researchers (Brazilians and foreigners) who are specialists from issues in the area of Jewish studies (judaic history, holocaust, Middle East, jewish communities, ethnicity, anti-semitism), will be always cultivated in our meetings.
